This news comes just days after Sony BMG’s announcement to sell unprotected digital download cards. This move, yet again, signals the significance of the digital marketplace and a departure from selling DRM music.

While iTunes currently rules the digital download roost, Amazon’s four-month old store is doing well and offers competitive pricing.
