English rock ‘n’ roll band, The Who, is one of those groups that’s seemingly had two-to-eleven careers. Comprised of all-time names like Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon, the group shattered stages, equipment, and expectations ever since 1965 and their debut LP, My Generation.
Since then, The Who has released twelve studio albums, including Tommy in 1969, a double-disc rock opera that tells the story of a “deaf, dumb and blind” fellow named Tommy, who is also a master of the game, pinball. The record is truly as incredible as its premise, too. They also did super early rock songs like this one.

The band released its most recent record, Who, in 2019, and just the other day, Townshend penned this lovely tribute to Charlie Watts, the Rolling Stones’ drummer who recently passed away. And in between, there’s been infighting, internal battles, and more great songs. So, let’s focus on the songs, shall we?
