Welcome To 1979 will be hosting their 3rd Annual Producer/Engineer summit from November 11-13th. The weekend long event will take place in Nashville at Welcome To 1979’s all-analog recording studio and will feature over 30 industry panelists discussing the arts of producing, engineering, and mastering.
The summit will offer an intimate setting for producers to network and socialize with industry professionals. Attendees will participate in several events such as a “live to two track taping”, industry discussion panels, and listening party for the Flaming Lips’ 1997 quadruple-disc experimental album Zaireeka.
Panelists include Vance Powell (The Raconteurs), Neal Cappellino (Joan Osborne, Allison Krauss), Ray Kennedy (Steve Earle, Willie Nelson), Jacquire King (Kings of Leon), and Brad Pemberton (Ryan Adams & The Cardinals). A broad range of topics will be discussed from internships to studio ownership to vintage gear.
