Don’t look now, but the 1960s are a whopping six-plus decades in the past. Somehow, all that flower power still resonates today. Many of the bands from the generation are still on our playlists today, from Bob Dylan to the Beatles to Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. But along with the big names, there are some one-hit wonders who are still impacting culture, too.

In fact, some of those one-hit wonders are still hitting the road and playing live shows to their adoring fans. They are still selling tickets and sharing their musical talents with audiences. Indeed, these are three one-hit wonders from the 1960s who are still touring today.
Merrilee Rush
In 1968, Merrilee Rush released her iconic song “Angel Of The Morning” with her band The Turnabouts. The song, which is about female sexual empowerment and independence, rocketed up the charts and hit No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. That success propelled her career in music, which still continues today. This summer, Rush performed dates in places like New Jersey and California, and it’s likely we will hear about more shows coming up soon for the stalwart singer.
The Youngbloods
In 1967, American rock band The Youngbloods released their version of the song “Let’s Get Together” and that offering went on to hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The rhythmic, melodic offering helped make the group a marquee act in the late 60s, and it has since helped to keep their music dreams alive. As of today, the band has one date on the calendar, but more dates may be added for the band known for getting people together.
Iron Butterfly
Rockers Iron Butterfly have one of the most unique one-hit wonders to their name, the strangely titled “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”, which originally was a 17-minute track that was cut down for radio play. But ever since the band that sang vividly about the Garden of Eden has been wowing audiences on stage. And the band is still on the road these days. Not only that, but they have been playing on the high seas on cruise ships. Get your tickets now, matey!
