The terrifying moment took place when Beyoncé was performing her song, “16 CARRIAGES,” from a car that was suspended in the air. The car began to tilt sideways inside the Houston, Texas, arena, prompting the singer to exclaim, “Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.”
The music cut off as Beyoncé’s crews worked to rescue her from the dangerous situation.
“Thank y’all for your patience,” she told the crowd amid the ordeal. Once she was back on the ground, Beyoncé insisted, “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me.”

Beyoncé’s Robot Scare
Beyoncé’s car malfunction isn’t the only thing to go wrong on her current tour. During her Los Angeles performance, Beyoncé appeared to freeze when she realized the crew hadn’t marked where she was supposed to stand. This was a big deal because the singer was making her way between two robot arms, which move wildly as she performs. Her mark is supposed to signal the safe place for her to stand. Ever the professional, Beyoncé placed herself in the middle of the two arms and wound up not getting hit.
Taylor Swift’s Platform Malfunction
During the Dublin stop of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift had to shake it off when things didn’t go according to plan. The singer was performing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” when her raised platform didn’t retreat as choreographed. That left Swift standing above the crowd with no way down. Her backup dancer came to the rescue as he guided her down off the platform and to safety.
Katy Perry’s Fan Fiasco
During one of her concerts on her Lifetimes Tour, Katy Perry had an unwelcome encounter with a fan. While performing “Hot N Cold” in Sydney, Australia, an audience member jumped on stage and put his arm around her. Perry managed to get away, but the man continued to dance nearby. Security eventually got the guy off the stage. Afterwards, Perry told the crowd, “Well, there’s never going to be another show like this. So just enjoy it, Sydney.”
Olivia Rodrigo’s Fall
While in Australia as part of her Guts World Tour, Olivia Rodrigo literally fell through the stage. As she was running around to get the audience excited, the pop star tripped and fell into a part of the stage that was lowered. She managed to catch herself with her arms and pull herself up. Rodrigo even joked about the situation, telling the crowd, “Oh my god, that was fun! I’m OK! Woah! Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage. That’s alright!”
Sabrina Carpenter’s Fireworks Moment
At the 2024 Outside Lands Music Festival, Sabrina Carpenter was left terrified when fireworks began going off behind her. Carpenter was standing on an elevated platform when a big boom spooked her. When she turned around a saw sparks, Carpenter let out a scream and jumped down from the platform. She continued on with her performance and never mentioned the moment again.
