Since 2022, Jelly Roll has been very open about his weight loss journey. Regarding the timeline of his journey, after he made the news public, he announced that he lost 20 pounds in mid-2023, 70 pounds by the beginning of 2024, and then reached his 100-pound weight loss goal this October.

The publicity of Roll’s weight loss journey is entirely on brand with his message as an entertainer. Besides being a musician, Roll is a philanthropist, motivational speaker, lobbyist, and an unofficial civil servant. So, giving back to the public in yet another admirable way is no surprise. Though, at the end of the day, he is doing this mainly for himself and his health. He again acknowledged that fact on his wife, Bunnie XO’s podcast, Dumb Blonde.
Prior to announcing his new ambitious goal, Jelly Roll got candid with listeners, stating, “I think that people who become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed. They’re so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight” and “then they come back out and they don’t really know how to interact with the world.” He added, “I wanted to lose it in front of everybody…Because I wanted to bring people along with me.”
“What I want the world to know, and I want people to see … is that I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it,” Jelly Roll concluded.
Jelly Roll’s Towering Weight Loss Goal
One of the most endearing and inspiring things about Jelly Roll is his willingness to dream big. In light of those big dreams, he’s also not afraid of letting people know he’s failed. Hence, whenever the man discovers something he wants to achieve, he never shies away from letting the world know. Even if there is a large chance of failure.
Jelly Roll further proved this commendable characteristic by sharing his weight loss goal for 2025. He told his wife, “I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations.”
Nothing about this goal will be easy, but then again, Jelly Roll is fully acquainted with putting his nose to the grindstone and achieving what he sets out to do. If he does achieve this goal, the world, and more importantly, his loved ones, will surely be proud of him to the highest of degrees. Best of luck to Jelly Roll in 2025.
