1. Chris Young and Cassadee Pope
These two powerhouse vocalists are incredible on their own, but there’s something about their voices together that just seems right. Are musical soulmates a thing? If so, Chris Young and Cassadee Pope fit the bill.
It’s honestly hard to believe these two haven’t recorded more duets together since “Think Of You” hit the charts back in 2016. This stunning duet peaked at no. 1 on the country charts.
2. Shania Twain and Billy Currington
Shania Twain’s the kind of country pop singer that doesn’t need a duet to get attention. Still, she’s one part of one of the most underrated country duets of all time.
Twain and singer Billy Currington brought an incredible energy to their 2004 song, “Party For Two”. It makes perfect sense why this country pop song became a Top 10 hit on the Hot Country Songs charts.
3. Reba McEntire and Vince Gill
Alright, maybe this duet isn’t that underrated. Still, it’s worth mentioning just because of how incredible these two country legends sound together.
“The Heart Won’t Lie” was released back in 1993 and showcases both artists’ incredible ability to harmonize. That’s the heart of a good country duet, we think: The harmonization. “The Heart Won’t Lie” topped the Hot Country Songs chart upon its release.
4. Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty
This song certainly wasn’t underrated when it first came out back in 1973, but the youngins’ today might not be familiar with the incredible chemistry of Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.
Both mega-icons in country at the time, the pair’s hit song “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” topped the charts due to its addictive rhythm and sticky-sweet lyrics.
5. Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe
Whether or not you agree that this is one of the most underrated country duets ever, you can’t deny that Ashley Monroe has one of the most underrated voices in country music. Luckily, she got to shine in her 2014 duet with Blake Shelton, “Lonely Tonight”.
The track was a no. 1 hit on the Country Airplay chart that year and even scored a Grammy nom for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
