“We’re Gonna Get You Your Money Back”: Zach Top Refunds Mississippi Fans Despite Playing Full Show

While some performers use a persona, Zach Top always presented himself as the heart of country music. Going far beyond his time in the genre, Top first nurtured a love for country music when growing up. He often listened to legendary singers like Keith Whitley, Randy Travis, and George Strait. Only spending a few years in the genre, Top is shining a spotlight on the 90s era of country music. And besides his contributions to music, Top recently refunded fans even after he finished a concert while sick.

For any singer, there is no worse feeling than getting sick right before a performance. With thousands of fans standing in the audience, many performers will power through a setlist just so they don’t need to cancel. And Top did exactly that. But holding himself to a higher standard, he informed the crowd that although he finished the concert, he was going to refund their tickets.

Believing he didn’t put on a concert that met his standard, Top said to those in the crowd, “We’re gonna get it sorted out, and we’re gonna get you your money back for tonight’s show, because this is not the kind of show I want to put on. But we’re gonna be back before you know it, and we’re gonna put you on a real show. We just got a couple songs left for you tonight, thank you so much for coming out here.”

Zach Top Still Shocked By Stardom In Country Music

Not just a good guy, Top continues to come to terms with his stardom in country music. Like most, the singer once had a dream of performing on stage. And just a few years ago, that dream became reality. He told his fans, “It blows my mind every night, this is all I ever wanted to do ever since I was a little kid. And y’all are the reason I get to do this. So when I can’t do that to the 100% of my ability, it ain’t good enough for me. So, we’re gonna get you all your money back for tonight’s show.”

With Top’s career only getting started, the singer is sure to add a few hits to his growing discography which featured his debut studio album Cold Beer & Country Music.
