While releasing albums like Lady Wrangler and Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die, Shaboozey took over country music in 2024 with Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. Featuring the hit song “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, Shaboozey dominated the airwaves as fans couldn’t get enough. And outside of his own discography, the country singer also appeared on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter. Continuing to expand his grasp on country music, Shaboozey crossed another milestone when he landed the longest No. 1 hit by a solo artist on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Back in 2017, Sam Hunt grabbed the record for the longest No. 1 song on Hot Country Songs chart when he released “Body Like a Back Road.” It held the spot for 34 weeks. But with the list releasing, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” stayed at the top for its 35th week. Although beating Sam Hunt, Shaboozey also beat Beyonce’s “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
While climbing the charts, Shaboozey has a ways to go before becoming the longest No. 1 on Hot Country Songs as Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line held the spot for 50 weeks thanks to “Meant to Be.” But with Shaboozey expanding his career with each new release, it might only be a matter of time.

Shaboozey Loves His Nerds
Outside of his work in the studio, Shaboozey appeared in a Super Bowl ad to promote Nerds Gummy Clusters. Although the commercial lasted just 15 seconds, the video showed the power behind the candy and how it can transform a normal guitar into a instrument designed by Nerds.
Thrilled about his work in the commercial, Shaboozey recalled his own childhood and growing up with Nerds. “I remember Halloween, getting those little boxes and pouring the candy into my mouth. I love them so much. It’s awesome to just to see the process of how it all came together.”
Still coming to terms with his growing success, Shaboozey admitted, “I make country music, and to be able to have the guitar and my world, and have just everything that I’m into, combined with Nerds Gummy Clusters was just amazing. It’s combining two things that are really good on their own to make something even better.”
