Although walking into the ACM Award with several nominations, Cody Johnson found himself battling for the Entertainer of the Year Award. One of the biggest awards handed out, the singer stood alongside Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, and Lainey Wilson. While Wilson walked away with the award, Johnson didn’t go home empty-handed as he won Song of the Year for “Dirt Cheap.” But even before the awards started, Johnson already won when he shared some exciting family news.

Making their way down the red carpet, Johnson was all smiles as he held hands with his wife, Brandi. But for fans, they quickly noticed that Brandi placed her hand on her stomach. Already having two girls at home, Johnson revealed they were expecting another child. But this time – it was a boy. “We’re having a little boy! We decided to make this our announcement to the world and our gender reveal as well.”
Expanding his career and his family, Johnson couldn’t help but beam with excitement. Even when speaking about his girls, he insisted, “My girls .. you can’t beat my girls, I love my two girls with all my heart. They’re 10 and 8, Clara and Cori, and I think I’m excited to watch them help raise this little boy.” Having their first boy, the country singer didn’t care much about the gender more than adding another member to the family. “I didn’t care if this one was a boy or a girl, but I was pretty happy when I saw the gender reveal.”
