Jelly Roll Had the Time of His Life “Fangirling” Over Alan Jackson at the 2025 ACM Awards

Despite going winless at the 2025 ACM Awards, Thursday’s (May 8) ceremony wasn’t a total wash for Jelly Roll. In addition to teaming up with Shaboozey for a rafter-shaking performance of their new collab “Amen,” fans following the “Need a Favor” crooner’s social media accounts saw how much fun he was truly having. Making up for the lack of new hardware, Jelly fangirled over a certain country star, shared a backstage joint with another, and very nearly took home a new pet piglet.

Inside Jelly Roll’s Chaotic ACM Award Experience

With most of country music’s A-List descending upon Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, one attendee really shone on the red carpet: Jessie Murph’s pet pig, Wilbur. The adorable little guy was his mom’s date to the ACM Awards. However, he came very close to leaving with someone else.

“Jessie Murph just tried to give a pig to me and my wife on the carpet,” Jelly Roll wrote on X/Twitter. Later, he shared a photo of Wilbur snuggled into his arms as wife Bunnie Xo and his “Wild Ones” collaborator look on.

The fun didn’t stop once the thrice-nominated star and his wife reached their seats. “We are sitting next to Alan Jackson – I’m about to freakkkk out… my wife and I are big time fan girling,” Jelly wrote in another post to X/Twitter.

Later in the night, the “I Am Not Okay” singer, 40, was noticeably absent from his seat beside the “Chattahoochee” legend. Perhaps wondering if viewers were missing him, Jelly gave yet another update.

“Back here smoking a joint with Ernest in case y’all don’t see us on TV,” he told his X/Twitter following. “We about to perform real soooon.”

It’s safe to say no one had more fun last night than Jelly Roll.

Jelly Sings Praises For His “Homie For Life”

This year’s ACM Awards were another banner night for Lainey Wilson. Along with her second straight Entertainer of the Year trophy, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer also took home Album of the Year for Whirlwind, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.

Although Wilson beat out Jelly Roll for two of those trophies, her “Save Me” collaborator was still singing her praises after the ceremony.

“In every interview I did on the red carpet I said I was cheering for Lainey and Cody. Lainey is my homie for life,” he wrote. “So happy for her her and fiancé are the best people on earth. She works hard and earned this – POINT BLANK AND PERIOD! Lainey is going down as one of the greatest of this era.”
