Billie Eilish Is a Diehard Beatles Fan, According to a Resurfaced Interview

The Beatles‘ everlasting influence is truly unavoidable. Frankly, to like The Beatles seems as fundamental as breathing air at this point. That being said, out of the hundreds of contemporary artists, another one has again voiced their love for the Fab Four. The singer in question is none other than the current pop superstar, Billie Eilish.

Eilish has covered Beatles songs including “Yesterday”, “Something”, and “I Will”. It seems Eilish’s love for the band extends far beyond musical nuances. Rather, it seems her admiration and affection toward the band is something deeply personal to her. Nevertheless, she has tried to articulate her affection for the band on multiple occasions.

Billie Eilish Says She Was Raised on the Beatles

No matter how famous a musician is, they will (probably) never be as famous as Paul McCartney and The Beatles. Thus, when very-much-still-famous Eilish met McCartney and headlined Glastonbury with him, she was in complete awe.

“My name next to theirs and being on the same level as them… it’s bonkers,” Eilish told NME back in 2022. “Now I’m headlining the same festival as [Kendrick Lamar] and Paul McCartney… Are you kidding me?”

Continiung to gush over the group, Eilish just could not contain the emotions regarding their influence. As a matter of fact, she nearly attributed all of her fame to them.

“The Beatles were what raised me,” she continued. “My love for music, I feel 95 percent owes [sic] to The Beatles and Paul. It’s insane to think about.”

That’s a massive claim for a massive musician about a massive band. Seems appropriate, doesn’t it?

Eilish’s Cover of “Yesterday” Is Proof Enough of Her Love for the Fab Four

Eilish has covered “Yesterday” on several occasions. The most recent one was at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee back in 2024 during her Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour. In short, Eilish performed the song in response to the 2024 election results. She performed the song sitting on the stage alongside Finnias and other accompanying musicians.

The performance was somber and lamenting. However, it further showed just how much respect Billie Eilish has for The Beatles, given that she performed their song during such a meaningful and tender time.
