Medical professionals swarmed the stage Thursday (Feb. 13) during the Rock Legends Cruise to assist musician Don Felder. The former Eagles guitarist, 77, needed help leaving the stage after appearing to stumble during “Tequila Sunrise.” Having played with the legendary rock outfit for nearly 30 years, Felder has amassed plenty of fans—many of whom were rightfully concerned after footage of the incident landed on social media. Fortunately, Felder’s team hopped onto his Instagram Stories to reassure his fans that the Florida-born artist is “feeling much better.”

Don Felder Was Experiencing Dehydration, According to His Team
Departing from Miami on Thursday (Feb. 13), the annual Rock Legends Cruise features Alice Cooper, Styx, and Foghat, among others. Don Felder took the stage that night, playing time-tested hits like “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and “One of These Nights.”
However, it became clear something was amiss as the legendary rocker prepared to play “Tequila Sunrise.” Despite having chatted with the crowd moments earlier, Felder appeared unsteady on his feet as he approached the microphone. Medical professionals swiftly came to his aid, helping the former Eagle off the stage as the crowd cheered.
Immediately, concerned fans began leaving comments on Frey’s official Instagram page inquiring after the Hall of Famer’s well-being. “Are you feeling better sir?” one Instagram user wrote. “Hope you’re doing ok.”
Another chimed in, “Don, are you feeling better? I saw the video and I am very worried about you.”

Assuaging their fears, Felder’s team shared a post to his Instagram Stories, explaining that the iconic guitarist had suffered a medical episode.
“We appreciate everyone’s concern regarding Don Felder’s abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise,” they wrote. “After receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids, and is feeling much better.”
Felder Reschedules Cruise Performances
In accordance with the cruise line’s medical rules, Don Felder remained in quarantine for the 24 hours following his medical emergency.
“Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday,” the statement read. (The Rock Legends Cruise runs through Monday, Feb. 17.)
In the meantime, Felder is resting up to “ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully.” according to the statement.
“Thank you for your understanding,” his team concluded, “and remember – drink your water!”
Felder has various performances lined up through March and April. In May, he hits the road with with Styx and Kevin Cronin for the nationwide Brotherhood of Rock tour.
