In addition to leaving her mark in country music with ten studio albums, Miranda Lambert loved to collaborate with other stars. Over the years, she worked with Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Elle King, and even Enrique Iglesias. Loving to find the perfect harmony between two voices, Lambert recently teamed up with Chris Stapleton. Although the two have shared the stage in the past, on July 14, 2025, they released their first duet with “A Song to Sing.” And according to Lambert, the new song was her “summer jam.”

With both Lambert and Stapleton winning Grammy Awards throughout their careers, it seemed like a match made in heaven when they walked into the studio together. But even before hitting record, the two shared a long history together. Having written in the past, fans eagerly awaited them to release a duet. And on July 11th, fans received that wish when “A Song to Sing” hit the airwaves. Quickly finding its way on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, the song has already gained over 4 million streams on Spotify.

Miranda Lambert Loves That “Old Country Vibe”
Speaking with Country Living about their collaboration, Lambert found it second nature to work with Stapleton. “Chris is great at everything he does, and I love his voice and artistry. We wrote this particular song with Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor a while back, and we had such a great day writing it. We got Dave Cobb to produce the track; both Chris and I had worked with him before, so it was a no-brainer.”
Outside of Lambert showering Stapleton with praise, she also saw “A Song to Sing” as a tribute to the ones she loved. “The song has a very nostalgic, retro feel for me, just like the old country vibe I love. I was really excited about the thought of sharing it with our fans because it was something so different for both of us. It honors the ones you love, and it’s a summer jam!”
Besides Lambert’s thoughts on the song, fans seemed to agree. Releasing the song on YouTube, fans praised it for being an “instant classic.” “Lordy Lordy my heart is beating a mile a minute this song is pure magic. Miranda is my queen. And Chris I think he must be my king now.” Deemed royalty amongst fans, the comments continued to pile up. “Great collab! New summer hit on the way to #1. Such ‘Easy’ listening with a total 70’s -80’s vibe! Great job guys!!!”
