Jason Aldean Absolutely Hates When Other Artists Do This at Concerts

For many artists, they tend to tread lightly when it comes to making statements, discussing certain topics, or posting on social media. Having seen what a single Tweet can do to an entire career, some even do away with Twitter and Instagram. But when it comes to Jason Aldean, he doesn’t hide his thoughts, even when it has to deal with controversial subjects. Believing in an honest approach, the singer opened up about performing concerts and those artists who like to perform encores.

Not happening at every concert, fans remember cheering for their favorite artist to come back out for one more song. And for most bands, they are more than willing to do it. Especially when hearing thousands of screaming fans cheering for their return. But when it came to Aldean, he wasn’t about to come back to the stage. 

Sharing his blunt take on encores, Aldean didn’t hold back, declaring, “I’m not a big encore guy. I hate when artists kind of bait ’em into that. It’s like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to play one of my biggest songs so that you guys cheer when I’m done for me to come back out and do this.’”

Jason Aldean Has A Solution To Encores

Still wanting to give fans a spectacular night, Aldean didn’t want to play with their emotions. Instead, he offered a solution. “I always tell ’em, ‘Listen, I’m gonna just play you guys everything we got, and when it’s over it’s over.’ Like, that’s it. I’m not going to go offstage for five minutes and wait for you guys to cheer for me to come back out. Let’s just play everything we got, and when we leave the stage it’s done. So I’ve always kind of done it like that.”

While a different opinion, Aldean knew what it took to put on a tour. Since his first tour in the early 2000s, he consistently hit the road almost yearly. Just looking back to 2020, he helmed the We Back Tour, Back in the Saddle Tour, Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour, Highway Desperado Tour (2023-2024), and Rock the Country Tour. He even traveled with stars like Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, and Miranda Lambert. 

Again, with Aldean having decades of experience, the singer knew a thing or two about entertaining a crowd.
