In addition to penning some of the best revenge ballads out there, country music firebrand Miranda Lambert has been an outspoken supporter of the LGBTQ+ community for a few years now. The “Kerosene” songstress, 41, is intentional about using her platform to advocate for her marginalized fans. Gaining a massive following among LGBTQ+ people, Lambert was recently in attendance during a two-hour drag tribute to her musical legacy. Getting ahold of the microphone, she tearfully declared it “the best night ever.”

Miranda Lambert Shows Gratitude To Her LGBTQ+ Fans
Last night (Thursday, April 24,) the popular Austin, Texas gay bar Rain pulled out all the stops with “Soakin’ The Night In Kerosene – A Drag Tribute To Miranda Lambert.” And the Queen herself sat in the audience watching the queens onstage celebrate 20 years of her debut album, 2005’s Kerosene.
Personally, I can think of few things I’d enjoy more than watching some fierce drag queens give us their best “Mama’s Broken Heart” rendition—and neither could Lambert. The nine-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year grew misty-eyed as she talked about what the night meant for her. Capturing footage of Lambert’s speech, the TikTok user @idanieltx shared it with his following Friday (April 25.)
“Like, this is the best night ever. Thank you to the girls, the gays, the theys for 20 years,” Lambert said, her husband Brendan McLoughlin watching from behind.
“Thank you, Lukey,” she added, reaching out to hug her younger brother standing nearby.
“I’m gonna cry,” Lambert continued. “Mama’s still trying. Thank y’all so much for all the support. I love y’all. This is, like, the best thing ever. Shoot tequila, have fun.”

How Luke Lambert Has Helped His Sister Be a Better Ally
Speaking with GLAAD in 2021, Miranda Lambert credited her little brother, Luke Lambert, and his husband Marc for helping her on the journey to becoming a better ally for the LGBTQ+ community.
“I know I am uneducated, but I am full of love,” she said. “Being in a family where I am surrounded by LGBTQ people, it has me learning and figuring out how I can be a part of the change and still be the same person I have been as an artist for 20 years.”
In 2022, Lambert penned the playful “Y’all Means All” for the sixth season of Queer Eye. Her brother’s journey also inspired her to write “All Kinds of Kinds,” off her 2011 album Four the Record.
