My Morning Jacket have recruited actor/comedian Zach Galifanakis for the mind-bending video for “Outta My System.”
The video, directed by James Frost (Coldplay, Radiohead) and animated by Michael Gilette and Grant Kolton, features Galifanakis as a wizard. This is not Galifanakis’ first music video: he’s previously teamed with Kanye West (“Can’t Tell Me Nothing”) and Fiona Apple (“Not About Love”).
My Morning Jacket will release The Outta My System EP tomorrow, August 7th. The EP features remixes by Washed Out and Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio, and the bonus track “Friends Again,” from their limited edition 7” released in December.
