Regret hangs heavy in a new song from Peter Bradley Adams, the somber ballad “Lorraine.” The track, a gentle meditation on atoning for romantic mistakes, is a new single off Adams’ forthcoming new album A Face Like Mine, his first since 2014’s The Mighty Storm.

“I don’t know anyone named Lorraine, but I have definitely had some experience in the role of ‘pathetic guy trying to drag himself out of the doghouse,'” Adams says. “He’s making all sorts of promises to get her back, and, of course, she’s not having it.”

A Face Like Mine is out April 21. Listen to “Lorraine” below.
