According to a report from the Indonesian National Police, Gustiwiw went to the bathroom at around 2 AM on June 15 and did not come out. The singer’s friend attempted to call him but got no response. As a result, at approximately 6 AM, he contacted the guesthouse’s security to request help. Security broke down the bathroom door and revealed the singer’s body.

First Police Inspector Gofur Supangkat spoke about Gustiwiw’s death. “That’s right, this morning there was a report of someone dying at a guesthouse. After checking his identity, the initials were GIW, a public figure,” he said on Sunday (June 15). Authorities found no sign of violence or foul play.

“The police have checked the location and coordinated with the family, and the family accepts this as an accident,” Supangkat said.

More About Late Singer Gustiwiw

Gustiwiw was an Indonesian-born singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, and producer. He briefly studied Music Arts Education at the Jakarta State University before dropping out in 2023. He also released his only album, Oh My God, that year.
