Bill Eberle has been moving around for most of his musical life. From Pittsburg to Brooklyn to his current place of residence in Nashville, the man has the traveling bug through and through. And that sentiment is exactly what is brought out in his brand new track, “Matter & Time”, streaming here on American Songwriter.

In “Matter & Time”, the title-track for his upcoming album, Eberle is taken to the edge of the world with a girl in a driving, late-night-bar-ready rocker that sets the tone for the record as a whole.

This track’s got a whiskey-drinkin’, honky-tonkin’ sound that feels so good, but the lyrics present something contemporary and personal,” said Eberle. “It’s some sort of post-apocalyptic, global-warming fever dream about a belief in love and energy interlocking into condensed matter, and disseminating out into the earth once we’re gone.  And that was the goal of the record – classic American roots sound while injecting something contemporary and socially connected into the lyrical content. All while having a good time.”
