Here’s a band we’d love to hear more from… Buffalo Clover, an East Nashville-based, soul-soaked roots-rock band fronted by married couple Margo and Jeremy Price.

On Buffalo Clover’s new album Test Your Love, old friend Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes stops by to sing on the track “Misery.” But we’re particularly fond of “Truthfulness,” a sly, slinky grooving number with just the right touch of horns and some Aretha-style backing vocals.

“‘Truthfulness’ is a song about protecting yourself against jilted love and false loyalty,” frontwoman Margo tells American Songwriter. “It’s the only song on the album that I wrote completely by myself. It took me about twenty minutes.”  You’d never know.
