We’re happy to shine a spotlight on “Into The Dark,” a fiddle-drenched, Americana gem from Boston-based songwriter Laura Cortese. It’s the title track to her latest album, due April 23.
“The lyrics for ‘Into the Dark’ came from watching my friends sift through the seductive relationships in their life,” explains Cortese, who as a fiddle player has performed with Pete Seeger, Band Of Horses and Uncle Earl. “I wanted to complement the image with strings that felt gritty and intense, a mirror of those relationships.” We think she accomplished her goal.
