Song Premiere: The Lonely Biscuits, “Talk About”

With a few festival appearances, national tours and an mtvU award under their belts, Nashville pop-rockers and Bonnaroo vets The Lonely Biscuits are gearing up for their next step – a debut album, set to drop in early 2017 and available for preorder here. One of the first tastes of that yet-untitled album is “Talk About,” a quirky end-of-summer jam about the uneasiness that often surrounds a budding romance.

“Lyrically and emotionally, the song is trying to capture the feeling of falling in love and committing everything to someone and hoping they feel the same way,” says the band. “It’s about second guessing and overthinking, wondering where the other person is at. We were in a creative drought while writing for our album and decided to sit down and try to write something from top to bottom without thinking about any other music or fitting any standards. The result is a sound inspired by a mix of what we grew up listening to in the 90’s and what gets us excited nowadays. It’s a pure thought from us and it represents what we’ve matured into and where we want to be.”
