Styx Headlining “Rockin’ in Paradise” Music Vacation; Event Also Features Cheap Trick, Loverboy, & More Stars

Styx fans are familiar with the group’s classic 1981 song “Rockin’ the Paradise,” but now the band will be rockin’ in paradise as they headline a new destination music vacation on Florida’s Gulf Coast this October.

“Rockin’ in Paradise with STYX + Friends” is a three-day extravaganza taking place October 9-11 at Miramar Beach, Florida. The band will play two concerts during the weekend, including one featuring a full performance of the group’s classic 1977 album, The Grand Illusion.

The event also will feature performances by Cheap Trick, Loverboy, 38 Special, Collective Soul, John Waite, and Edwin McCain. In addition, longtime Styx singer/keyboardist Lawrence Gowan will be playing a solo set.

The festivities also will include a Q&A session with Styx hosted by rock radio personality Eddie Trunk.

More About the “Rockin’ in Paradise” Vacation

Fans who sign up to attend the “Rockin’ in Paradise” event via the pre-sale will enjoy a reduced price while also receiving a collectable Styx coin and other special perks. Those who book the vacation early also will get to reserve access to “coves,” private areas where up to six people can view the various concerts.

Pre-sale sign-ups are available now. General on-sale booking starts Friday, February 14 at 2 p.m. ET.

Those who book their accommodations via the Topeka vacation company will receive a special “Rockin’ in Paradise” cooler.

The performances will take place at an outdoor venue located within Seascape Resort, a few hundred yards from the ocean. Walk-up bars, food trucks, and air-conditioned restrooms are located on the venue grounds.

Styx’s Other 2025 Performance Plans

Styx has more than 50 concerts scheduled for 2025. Next up for the band is the 2025 edition of the star-studded Rock Legends Cruise. The seagoing music fest runs from February 13 to February 17.

The group also has a series of headlining shows running from late February through late April.

Then, on May 28 in Greenville, South Carolina, Styx will launch the Brotherhood of Rock Tour with REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin and ex-Eagles guitarist Don Felder. The expansive trek is plotted out through an August 24 performance in Milwaukee.

Styx also has three headlining shows scheduled for September.
