A staple of the country music holiday season is Vince Gill and Amy Grant’s Christmas at the Ryman residency. Ever since they first officially started the set of holiday season performances in 2010. The pair have become an integral part of prepping people for the biggest day of the Winter. That being so, the two are currently in the midst of their 14th annual Christmas at the Ryman residency.

Thanks to the importance the set of shows has proven to be, Grant and Gill recently divulged why it means so much to them. In a recent interview with Talk Shop Live, the couple revealed why they have been doing this show for so long and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Grant got the ball rolling stating, “It’s just like God, it just feels, it feels so, it’s a family time for us” and “It’s really the, it’s really is a gift he gives me.” “Because Vince would be, he would have been fine, that first show we did in 1993 to be one and done,” Grant added.
To Grant’s point, Gill vulnerably responded, “But you know what’s cool for me is The Ryman, just in that it’s easily my favorite place I’ve ever played, so I don’t care what I get to play and sing in there as long as long as I’m in there.” Gill continued, “I think it’s really dear that we are bringing Christmas music to the Ryman and to a building that was built as a tabernacle. It’s still saving souls.” A profound answer from a profound musician who always gives profound performances.
