Willie Nelson’s Sons Join Him In Performing One of His Hits
In 1985, Willie Nelson teamed up with Neil Young and John Mellencamp to organize the first Farm Aid benefit concert. Nearly every year since, the concert has continued to raise money for American farmers and their families.
It was a family affair back in 2020, when Lukas, 36, and Micah Nelson, 34, teamed up with their dad for an incredible performance of “On the Road Again.” Released in 1980 as part of the Honeysuckle Rose soundtrack, Nelson penned “On the Road Again” about life on tour. The song reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart and snagged a Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
As he strums his guitar alongside Lukas and Micah, Willie looks around and smiles when he reaches the line, The life I love is making music with my friends.
As video footage from the 2020 performance resurfaced on social media, fans marveled at the now 91-year-old Nelson’s vocal abilities. “How does he still sound so INCREDIBLE!?” one Instagram user wrote.

Willie Is Still Going Strong
Willie Nelson hasn’t stopped making unforgettable music since his 1962 debut …And Then I Wrote. In fact, the “Always On My Mind” crooner is dropping a brand-new album, Oh What a Beautiful World, on April 25.
With less than two weeks to go, the Red-Headed Stranger had another gift for fans on Friday (April 11.) In a social media post, Nelson announced that the album’s latest single, “Banks of the Old Bandera,” is out now.
“Willie never stops surprising us with new songs,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
