The artist: Nashville-by-way-of-Montana singer-songwriter Guthrie Brown, who first showed up in Music City at age 17 to record and self-produce his first EP

The song: “Stay Gold,” the first single off his forthcoming EP Natural, which drops November 18

Fun fact: Brown was an avid fly-fisherman while growing up in the wilds of Montana

Songwriter says: “Stay Gold” was produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, James Bay, Tom Waits, Dawes, MoonTaxi) and recorded at Eric Masse’s studio, The Casino, in East Nashville. The “Stay Gold” music video was created to pay homage to a show that stopped me in my tracks, Stranger Things. It was also an excuse to invite all of my friends over and throw one hell of a party. All I needed to make this music video was an IPhone 6, the VHS App, Christmas lights, and the best group of friends that I could ever ask for. This video was made for all of the Stranger Things fans out there, including myself. Stay gold, Will Byers, stay gold.
