Lee DeWyze gets rootsy on his new single, “Like I Do,” a folk-rock stomper filled with acoustic guitars, yelps and close harmonies. The full album, Frames, won’t be out until August 20, but those who pre-order the record can download the tune for free.

“‘Like I Do’ is about the connection a person has with another — one that cannot be duplicated,” says DeWyze, who played guitar, piano, mandolin, banjo and drums during the recording sessions. “It is an anthem for that emotion, that feeling of loss and knowing no one else can love that person like you do. Upbeat and fun. I definitely had a good time writing this one.”
