Songwriter Says: “Except To You” is about me recognizing my own brokenness and the saving grace of love in my life that brought me out of darkness. My favorite lyric in the song is, “You found me there hiding in the dark. You were burning still. You lit a spark, and then you saved me.” It is all about finding shelter in the arms of the one you love, and realizing that even with all your faults, they love you still. They are willing to go into your darkest place to bring you the light of hope.”
