The song: “Right Before Your Own Eyes,” off his forthcoming LP American Fork
Fun fact: Easton traveled to Havana, Cuba earlier this year for the historic Rolling Stones concert, which he wrote about for American Songwriter.
Songwriter says: “The song was written after I had a dream about arriving from the future to talk to the songwriter and my friend Aaron Lee Tasjan. As usual, with these types of “do as I say, not as I do” songs, I am actually taking to myself. With the video I just wanted to do something that would make my daughter laugh. That is her mask I am wearing. I also wanted to show the process of making the hand painted vinyl jacket covers, which she helped me create.”
