Today, on June 10, 2025, MGK posted a promotional video for his upcoming album, Lost Americana. While the music video has certainly fulfilled its purpose to an extent, it seems the masses are more concerned with who is narrating the music video. Which is seemingly none other than Bob Dylan.

In the video, an alleged Dylan states, “This album is a love letter to those who seek to rediscover—the dreamers, the drifters, the defiant. It’s a sonic map of forgotten places, a tribute to the spirit of reinvention, and a quest to reclaim the authentic essence of American freedom.”
He continues, “From the glow of neon diners to the rumble of the motorcycles, this is music that celebrates the beauty found in the in-between spaces where the past is reimagined and the future is forged on your own terms.”
MGK nor his team has confirmed that Dylan is the one narrating the video. However, Dylan’s voice is incredibly unique; thus, it’s pretty hard to mistake for somebody else’s, as well as replicate. Furthermore, in the recent past, MGK and Dylan have had an odd connection on social media.
MGK and Bob Dylan’s Odd & Unexpected Social Media Connection
In recent months, Bob Dylan has been having quite a time on social media. During this social media frenzy, Dylan has posted on Instagram, TikTok, X, and covered everything from local cuisine to very obscure albums. In other words, all of his posts have been arbitrarily cryptic and have had viewers befuddled by his reasoning behind them.
One of those arbitrary posts was of a young MGK performing at the Orlando, Florida, record shop, Park Ave CDs, in 2016, according to Pitchfork. Dylan left no caption on the Instagram post, so, again, viewers were completely perplexed as to why Dylan posted the video.
Another fact pointing toward Dylan as the narrator of the video is that MGK posted a picture of a young Bob Dylan on his Instagram story today, June 10, 2025. While these are not formal statements acknowledging Dylan as the narrator of the video, they are certainly hints suggesting that is the case.
Regardless, MGK’s upcoming album, Lost Americana, comes out on August 8, 2025.
