Lots of people have predicted
How this world will meet its doom
Giant quakes another ice age
And the nuclear mushroom

But of all the great disasters
There was one they couldn’t see
It was the day when she would say
She was through with loving me

So now I know
How the world’s gonna end
When she walks out
I’ll be losing my best friend
It’ll be all over
Cause I’ll never love again

Now forget about the great flood
And the aliens from Mars
We won’t sink into the ocean
Or be killed by shooting stars

No we won’t drop off the planet
The sky won’t fall from above
There was only one thing to fear
And that was falling out of love
