Following in your parents’ footsteps can be a challenging task. However, when your father is rock legend Paul McCartney, it gives the word “challenging” a whole new meaning.
James McCartney announced the upcoming released of his debut EP, co-produced by his dad and David Kahne. Out on Septemnn nber 21 via Engine Company Records, the five track EP Available Light includes four original songs written by James, and a cover of Neil Young’s “Old Man.” We’re not sure if the cover is to honor a certain someone, but one can only speculate with lyrics like “Old man take a look at my life/ I’m a lot like you were.”
The EP was recorded over a two year period in the United States and in London’s Abbey Road Studios. An full-length album from James McCartney is also expected in the near future. Read a profile of James McCartney here.
