-Tom Petty, Have Love, Will Travel

SONG I WISH I WROTE: Pearl Jam, “Satan’s Bed”

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:  Snoop, Dre, Willie, Woody Harrelson, and Matthew McConaughey

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Wilco w/ My Morning Jacket, Louisville Palace, Louisville, KY 6/30/05

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE… We wanted an upbeat tempo that seemed a little frantic. The lyrics hinged off that feeling from the music, telling the classic story of trying to prevail and push through while the odds are stacked up against you. And you seek refuge, only in this case, in a black eyed lover that may or may not be the antagonist in the first place- it’s hard to tell.
