It’s a long way from here to all is well,
time enough find some shade and share a fare thee well.
There’s a dirt road to Heaven, there’s a highway to Hell
and there’s a long way from here to all is well.

It’s a long way from here to the good ‘ole days.
from that memory of you and me to the world and its ways.
The next thing that’s gotta happen, well it’s kinda hard to know
hard to say with such a long way to go.

It’s a long way from here to safe and sound.
from the trenches of the day-to-day that lead to higher ground.
Every chance that you’re takin’, is it worth the price you’ll pay?
Hard to tell with all is well such a long way.
