I’m mourning my peace of mind
‘Cause I lost a piece of mine
The reason lie with these fiends
With straight treason in their means
So much done behind the scenes
And it’s this next part that stings
‘Cause it pulls at my heart strings
I’m feel the most affected
By the friends who defected
And I can now detect it
Left to my own devices
I’m alone in this crisis
Not moving to perfection
Just removing this connection
The one to go better me
Myself, he had better be

Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you
Tell me how to grow up in a land like this
Without closing up from a hand to a fist
Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you

People, realize you’re no me
You understand too lowly
To have anything to show me
You couldn’t walk in my shoes
You couldn’t talk with my blues
You fail to try at my pace
You fail to lie in my place
Hell, you can’t lie to my face
So my trust has no equal
When snakes want to be people
I just asked for honesty
But this I knew honestly
You can’t be honest with me
I hope I get forgotten
‘Cause you made life so rotten
With your mischievous plotting

Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you
Tell me how to grow up in a land like this
Without closing up from a hand to a fist
Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you

I don’t know for certain my conclusions
But I say curtains to these illusions
I’ve got no proof, but I’m no idiot
There is a truth to every silhouette
These lies that protect and these lies that heal
I despise like disrespect I can feel

Peace used to be my mantra
But now I war like contra
Caught in a constant division
Between what’s in my vision
And my monstrous intuition
I’m now in a position
Where victory is bittersweet
It almost taste like defeat
When I feel completely beat
From my head down to these feet
My minds now a casualty
And I say that casually
Still, I’m better than I’ve been
Born where men don’t ever win
But we still refuse to lose
Now matter what road we choose

Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you
Tell me how to grow up in a land like this
Without closing up from a hand to a fist
Nothing stranger than the stranger you once knew
Except maybe when that stranger once was you
