The deepest shade of midnight blue
Will cover all the seams
We will not feel the coarseness of
The thick and jagged line
That tore through every fiber
And knit your heart to mine

Does not require a voice
Don’t tell me to forget you
I do not have a choice
The eyes that burn with tragedy
The magic in their sting
I remember, I remember
I remember everything

This ordinary moonlight
Has granted us reprieve
So speak to me in metaphor
The truth that I believe
Is there a place for dreamers
In a world so wide awake?
