Winning a major award or accolade like a Grammy is no easy feat, even for the most talented artists. It’s even more difficult if a musician has been recognized for only one song. Somehow, though, the following four one-hit wonders managed to score Grammy Awards for their main claims to fame, and we think they deserve them. Let’s take a look!

1. Baha Men
Remember “Who Let The Dogs Out”? That delightful 2000 tune kicked off the turn of the millennium with a bang. In fact, this hit from Baha Men topped the Billboard charts around the world, making it to no. 40 on the Hot 100 in the US and no. 1 in the UK.
While this Bahamian outfit never had as big of a hit again, they did get recognized for their contributions to the music world. The group took home a Grammy in 2000 for Best Dance Recording.
2. Duffy
Welsh singer Duffy made it big with her 2008 song “Mercy”. It was quite an international hit, and it also made it to no. 1 on the UK charts. She’s definitely one of the most deserving one-hit wonders to win awards for her work. Duffy took home a Grammy in 2009 for Best Pop Vocal Album, specifically for Rockferry.
3. Macy Gray
Remember Macy Gray? This talented crooner catapulted to fame with her debut album On How Life Is in 1999. Specifically, the hit single “I Try” was a huge international success and made it to no. 5 on the US Hot 100. Gracy never charted as high again, but she did nab a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2001.
4. Sir Mix-A-Lot
One-hit wonders sometimes win awards and then more or less disappear. For Sir Mix-A-Lot, not only did the rapper take home a Grammy in 1993 for Best Rap Solo Performance, but the hit song in question, “Baby Got Back”, went double platinum. He’s still making money off the song today. Honestly, good for him. “Baby Got Back” was a certified chart-topper when it was released in 1992, reaching no. 1 on the US Hot 100 chart that year.
