The special airs tonight, December 16, at 8 p.m. ET. It will premiere on NBC but will also be available the next day on Peacock. The special was taped on October 4, so it won’t be live, but there will still be plenty of holiday cheer to experience. Last year, Wynonna Judd hosted the special, which included appearances by Trace Adkins, Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Alaina, Breland, Mickey Guyton, and many more.

Who Will Perform This Year?

Little Big Town is bringing a ton of great guests to the Opry House stage this year. They will also perform some holiday staples and new Christmas music as well. This year’s special guests include Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Sheryl Crow, Kirk Franklin, Josh Groban, Kate Hudson, and Orville Peck. These amazing artists will take the stage for solo performances and duets of new and classic Christmas songs.

For example, Ballerini will perform “White Christmas,” while Dan + Shay will showcase some original songs from their holiday album It’s Officially Christmas. Additionally, Little Big Town and Josh Groban will team up for a collaboration.

Little Big Town released their first holiday album, The Christmas Record, in October. They may be performing some hits from the new album, and fans at home will have to wait for tonight to see.

What Little Big Town Has to Say, Plus a Sneak Peek

Previously, the band put out a statement regarding Christmas at the Opry and their hosting duties this year. “We are simply beside ourselves to announce that we will host our own NBC Holiday Special at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry House,” they said in a joint statement earlier this year. “This is an incredible honor for us, and we are beyond thrilled to share this special evening with viewers and fans across the country.”

Recently, they dropped a sneak peek at the show and the band’s Jimi Westbrook shared his thoughts. As he said in the video, “There’s no better place to celebrate the holiday and season that we love so much, than to be here at the Opry with friends and family.”
