Country duets just hit differently. There’s something so classy, nostalgic, and unforgettable about two country crooners getting together to sing love songs together. While this list is far from exhaustive, we’re particularly fond of these four incredible country music duets from some of the genre’s biggest legends.

1. “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
“It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill is one of many songs sung by a husband-and-wife duo in country music. However, this 1997 collab is on another level. It’s such a beautifully-written song, and it makes sense why it topped the country charts for weeks when it was first released. Faith Hill hits that vocal climax like nobody else.
2. “Islands In The Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton
Country duets don’t get better than this, folks. After all, what would you expect from putting together two of the biggest icons in country music? Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton absolutely nailed their rendition of “Islands In The Stream” from 1983, and the live version of the song is even more arresting.
Few country music duets have historically peaked at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but these two country royals did it like it was easy.
3. “Jackson” by Johnny Cash and June Carter
What would a list of country music duets be without including one of several stunning collaborations between country music lovebirds Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash?
Recorded shortly before they were married, “Jackson” is one of the pair’s very best songs. And that’s saying something, considering this famous pair had made quite a bit of music together. There’s so much energy and joy in this particular duet, and it makes sense why they won a Grammy for it.
4. “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty
Country music duets are the sum of their parts, and these two country crooners equally made “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” a hit back in 1973. Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty had their own pool of no. 1 hits, both respectively and as singing partners, but nothing tops this bluegrass country-rock tune.
