With a love for genres like country, grunge, and rock, Koe Wetzel looked to blend all his favorite genres together. While fusing country and grunge, Wetzel recorded songs like “That’s Why We Fight” and “Damn Near Normal.” Spending a decade in the music industry, the singer released his latest album, 9 Lives, back in July 2024. Continuing to expand his career on and off the stage, Wetzel recently shared one of the craziest tours he’s been on. And it happened to feature HARDY.

Speaking about his career in country music, Wetzel sat down with Evan Paul on Taste of Country Nights: On Demand. While discussing several topics, Paul wanted to know the craziest tour he’s been on. And to the shock of many, the singer pointed to HARDY. He said, “Me and Hardy had a week-long acoustic tour in Texas, that sum b—h was rowdy, dude. I think he finished out the weekend with a full-band show and I woke up with a broken shoulder and all kind of — I mean, it was all over the place, dude.”
Remembering what a typical day on the road with HARDY looked like, Wetzel explained, “We’d wake everyday about 2 o’clock, and just kind of nurse a hangover, and then about an hour before the show we’d hammer it down again and get back after it.”

HARDY Recalls Top Moment In His Career
As for HARDY, he discussed his ongoing career with Revolver and shared one of his top moments in the spotlight. “For me, it’s being named BMI Country Songwriter of the Year in 2022. That’s my biggest victory, because it’s not a voted thing — it’s based on performance, like how many songs you had on the radio and how they performed and this and that. That’s a really, really hard award to get, and I’m incredibly honored to have gotten it. That was a big one for me.”
Winning awards and knowing how to party, it appears fans are in love with HARDY. During the same interview, he noted getting a unique gift from a group of superfans. “I have a couple of superfans, and the first time I ever met them they gave me this little case. I collect arrowheads — I find them a lot where I live, and it’s a hobby of mine — and they gave me a case that just had an arrowhead and a blunt in it.”
From touring to partying, it seems that HARDY has the perfect formula when it comes to entertaining fans and fellow performers.
