Jason Aldean gifted Corey Kent something big. During an appearance on the Taste of Country Nights radio show, Kent revealed what the country superstar gave him when he served on the opener on his 2023 Highway Desperado Tour.

“I knew you were gonna ask me this, and this is gonna make me seem bougie,” he said with a laugh, before revealing that Aldean gifted him a Rolex watch.
“He was like, ‘Garth Brooks did this for me when I went on my first big tour — he got me a Rolex, and I still have it to this day,’” Kent said, recalling what Aldean told him when he gave him the gift.
Kent went on to admit that he nearly cried when Aldean handed it over. In fact, it meant so much to Kent that he initially refused to wear the watch and instead kept it in a safe.
Eventually, however, Kent came to realize that keeping the watch locked away was “dumb.”
“‘This is an awesome watch and I’m gonna let it spend its life in a safe?’” he remembered asking himself.
After that realization, Kent “started wearing it and I was like, ‘I’m just gonna start wearing this as much as I can.’”
Corey Kent Talks Touring With Jon Pardi
Following Kent’s time on the road with Aldean, he went on to open for Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, and, most recently, Jon Pardi.
During Kent’s interview, he revealed a pre-show ritual he adopted while on tour with Pardi.
“We do our pre-show shots, then we do our handshakes… and then we play spin the bottle, but taser roulette,” he said.
The game, he said, starts when a crew member says, “Alright Everyone circle up, pray to your God, and whoever [the bottle] lands on has to wear it on the chest.’”
Kent noted that it’s “so exhilarating to everybody” when they play taser roulette “30 seconds before we hit the stage.”
Next up, Kent will open for Morgan Wallen during several dates of his I’m the Problem Tour.
