While known for his high energy on stage, Carey shared a post on Instagram, detailing how years on the road caused a great deal of damage to his body. “It’s with a heavy heart that I share this news. After five incredible years of playing and sharing unforgettable moments with you, I must step away from Treaty Oak Revival. Touring and rocking a little too hard has done a number on my back, body and mind. I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support, enthusiasm, and kindness throughout this journey.”
Although considering the fans of Treaty Oak Revival “family”, the musician added, “The memories we’ve created together will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Andrew Carey Wanting To Be The “Best Dad And Husband” He Can Be
Carey wasn’t finished with his career in music as he seemed excited about what the future held. “Although this chapter is ending, I’m hopeful for what the future holds, and hope to stay connected with you in any way I can. Thank you for everything.”
Expanding on his decision to leave Treaty Oak Revival in the caption, the musician also wanted to focus more on his life at home. With touring demanding a great deal of time, Carey explained, “The road has taken its toll, and I would really like to be able to continue playing music and being the best dad and husband that I can be for as long as I possibly can. I will still be on the upcoming TOR record, but I need to take some time off to heal.”
While leaving the future open, Carey ended his message with one last “Thank You” to the fans and Treaty Oak Revival. “Thank you for 5 years of amazing shows, music, and memories. We love you and wish you the best.”
