American Songwriter September/October 2010 Amateur Lyric Contest

The deadline to enter the current contest is July 19, 2010. Enter for your chance to have your lyrics printed in American Songwriter magazine. One of the four finalists will also be chosen for American Songwriter’s one-page Q&A feature in the coinciding issue. The First Place winner also receives a Martin DCX1E acoustic-electric cutaway guitar and a legendary Shure SM58 Microphone, and four sets of Elixir® Strings (you choose flavor and gauge) and one Elixir® Guitar Cable.

Plus we’ve just announced our 2010 Grand Prize package! One of the bi-monthly First Place winners will be selected each year for a Grand Prize trip to Nashville, Tennessee (includes 1 round-trip travel ticket). We’ll schedule a “Dream Co-Writing Session” for the winner with veteran Music Row hit songwriter JIM LAUDERDALE and also coordinate a recording of the new song with a professional demo company. Check out our recent session with Jim Lauderdale here.
