Newcomer Emily Hearn takes a big step forward today with the release of “Promises,” an endearing 5-song EP full of piano-driven pop tunes. On her first single “Gotta Have Him,” the Georgia native couples a crisp voice with blissful, sweet confidence. The result is a hooky, carefree ode to young love.

AMBITIONS: My dream is to have a lifelong career as a singer, songwriter, and performer. I want to travel the world playing my music. But one day I also want to open a little bakery called “Em’s Flour Shop”. I’ll mainly make scones, biscuits and other types of rustic breads, and I’ll have different types of locally roasted coffee.
TURN-OFFS: A messy space. I can’t focus or work when things are too crazy.
TURN-ONS: Cooking at home with fresh, organic ingredients. I could spend 2 hours in The Fresh Market or Whole Foods.
DREAM GIG: Headlining the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. I’ve been attending different types of shows there my whole life and it’s the most magical room. It would be unbelievable to play there.
