TODAY is the last day to get your entry in for “The Big Hook” contest by Fiverr! All you have to do is click the image above and submit a 30 second video clip of you performing your best original hook – all genres are welcome.

The contest will be judged by an impressive list of musicians, mostly of YouTube fame, including Anthony Vincent, of “10 Second Songs” fame; Hannah Trigwell; Louisa Wendorff; Andrew Huang, one of our favorite up-and-comers; and Christian Lopez.

The contest has some great prizes, including a trip to Nashville to co-write with some amazing writers, mentoring sessions, and studio time. The details of the prizes are as follows:

  • Grand Prize: All-expenses-paid trip to a prestigious Nashville songwriting bootcamp, courtesy of Songspace music network. Bootcamp includes music mentoring sessions; co-writing sessions; studio recording time; consideration for representation from Riptide Music Group for television and film placement; and free membership in a performing rights organization of his or her choice.
  • Second Place:$2,000 + $300 Fiverr credit
  • Third Place: $1,000 + $200 Fiverr credit

There will be a round of public voting and then the Fiverr judges will look at the top 50 entries. You can check out Q&As with some of our judges, who give advice on entering the contest and tell us what they think makes a hook stand out: Christian Lopez, Louisa Wendorff, & Whitney Coleman.

The contest is simple and free to enter, so create the best hook you can and submit it to Fiverr using the link below!
