Eagles Legend Don Felder Is “Back and Ready to Rock” After Medical Emergency, Shares Words of Wisdom With Fans

Heading out on the Rock Legends Cruise, Don Felder hoped to entertain the ship full of fans with a stellar performance. Having been the lead guitarist for the Eagles in the past, Felder also explored a solo career with albums like Road to Forever. As for the cruise, when the musician was speaking with the crowd before singing “Tequila Sunrise”, Felder started to fumble around, looking uneasy. The musician was quickly taken off stage. While offering fans an update about his health, it seemed that Felder was already preparing to get back to the stage.

When footage of Felder’s medical emergency surfaced online, his manager, Charlie Brusco, released a statement, explaining, “Don experienced a medical episode last night during the show. He received medical attention and was deemed to be suffering from dehydration.” Brusco continued, “By medical rules of the cruise, he’ll be in quarantine for the next 24 hours to rest. Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday.”   

While Felder only needed a few days before he felt himself once again, the guitarist shared a video of himself on Facebook. Standing inside a concert hall, Felder appeared all smiles while telling fans, “Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you all I am back 100 percent. I had a wonderful time down in the little medical facility getting an I.V. last night. I feel fantastic, so I appreciate all your concern, but I am back and ready to rock.”

Don Felder Urges Fans To Drink More Water

Fans jumped to the comment section, thankfully that Felder’s emergency wasn’t more severe. “Great news to hear from Don Felder that he is feeling a lot better and ready to rock again.” One person added, “Good to hear!! Appreciate you giving an update… and we are all relieved to hear that you are feeling well!”

While rehydrated and ready to go, at the time of the incident, Felder’s Instagram page shared a post about the importance of staying hydrated. Although thanking fans for their support, the post insisted, “To ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully, we are working on rescheduling today’s show and adjusting the remainder of the cruise schedule accordingly. Thank you for your understanding, and remember – drink your water!”
