Since Ozzy Osbourne passed away just a few days ago at 76, the music industry has continued to honor the legacy of the Prince of Darkness. Those who played with Ozzy remembered the times they shared the stage, while fans recalled what it was like to watch him define an entire genre. Although Ozzy’s family asked for privacy as they mourned his passing, Kelly Osbourne recently broke her silence.

Adding her thoughts to the sea of tributes filling the internet, Kelly didn’t go into detail about her father’s death. Instead, she posted lyrics to Black Sabbath’s “Changes.” Posting the lyrics on her Instagram Stories, it read, “I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.”

Kelly Osbourne Once Performed “Changes” With Ozzy
Although sharing only a few words, the message carried a heavy weight for Kelly. While singer Yungblud performed the song at the Back to the Beginning concert just a few weeks ago, Kelly once sat beside Ozzy to cover the hit song. Looking back at that performance, which thankfully found its way to YouTube, the video showed just how much love Ozzy and Kelly shared.
While posted 6 years ago, fans filled the comment section with love. “I can’t believe he’s gone. Who else came here right after listening to Mama I’m Coming Home? This is so beautiful and I’m glad Kelly has this song it will bring her some good memories I’m sure. It makes me cry and miss my Daddy whenever I hear it. R.I.P. OZZY you will always be loved….” Another person added, “Danced to this song with my dad at my wedding. My heart hurts for the loss of this icon. Thanks for sharing your art and your life with us.”
Seeming to find the perfect lyrics to show her emotions about her father’s passing, the rest of the Osbourne family has yet to share their thoughts. The only message from the family read, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

While Ozzy’s last performance only happened two weeks ago, his final gift was more than a massive concert. The Back to the Beginning concert raised nearly $200 million for charity. And as Yungblud posted, “You’re my hero in every regard. I hope you’re up there avin a drink with Randy. For the prince of darkness you sure brought all the light to the world. I love you Ozzy.”
