Although just thrilled to be nominated at the ACM Awards, Lainey Wilson enjoyed her time sharing a moment with stars like Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, and Ella Langley. But at the end of the night, the country singer walked away with the Entertainer of the Year Award. And that was just a sample of her winning streak as she also won Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. Completely taking over country music, Wilson wasn’t slowing down as she recently teased her upcoming hit song “Somewhere Over Laredo.”

Kicking off the week right, Wilson decided to go ahead and share a video of herself performing her new song “Somewhere Over Laredo.” Already sounding like another No. 1 hit, the video showed the singer sitting in a secluded area as she showcased a trucker hat and her signature bell-bottoms.
Gaining over 69,000 likes, fans couldn’t get enough of the new song. “Need this to be released asap pls & thank u.” Another person added, “I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for this to be released.” No matter the comment, fans urged Wilson to go ahead and release the song so they could add it to their list of favorite hits.

The One Person Lainey Wilson Trusted When It Came To Picking The Right Song
When it comes to Wilson’s discography, the singer appeared to land hit after hit. With songs like “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” and “Heart Like A Truck”, the country star knew how to write the perfect hit. But according to Wilson, her mother, Michelle Wilson, knew what worked and what didn’t.
Speaking about the support she received from her mother, Wilson insisted, “When it comes to like choosing songs and picking songs and the ones that are right, I can always trust my mama’s judgment… she’ll be like, ‘I don’t think that one is as good as you think it is.’”
Although Wilson admitted that her mother can’t sing, she had an eye for hit songs, and that guidance has led the singer to the top of country music.
