Luke Combs is continuing to make history in country music.

Combs recently accumulated another No. 1 single with “Going, Going, Gone,” marking his 15th consecutive hit. This makes him the country artist to have the longest consecutive No. 1 streak since their debut. He penned the song with Ray Fulcher and James McNair.

Combs’ chart-topping trail began with his first single, “Hurricane,” released in 2016. All of his solo singles have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, with the exception of “Going” predecessor “The Kind of Love We Make,” which reached No. 2 on the Airplay chart. It did hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Combs is in good company, as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Alabama are among the other country music giants who rapidly racked up 15 No. 1 hits in the early years of their careers. “Going” is the third single off Combs’ 2022 album, Growin’ Up. The companion album, Gettin’ Old, will be released on March 24.

“This album is about the stage of life I’m in right now, one that I’m sure a lot of us are in, have been through, or will go through,” Combs expresses in a press release. “It’s about coming of age, loving where life is now but at the same time missing how it used to be, continuing to fall for the one you love and loving them no matter what, living in the moment but still wondering how much time you have left, family, friends, being thankful, and leaving a legacy. Me and so many others have poured their hearts and souls into this record, and I hope you love it as much as we do.”

The day after the album drops, Combs will embark on his World Tour that visits stadiums across the U.S., Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. The tour kicks off on March 25 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and concludes with a two-night stop at The O2 Arena in London on October 19 and 20.
